The St. Louis Cabaret Conference takes place on the campus of Saint Louis University, an urban campus in midtown St. Louis. Participant housing is conveniently located on the same campus.

Traditional Track, Next Step Track and Professional Track Conference hours:
Morning sessions    9:00 am – 12:30 pm
Lunch Break             12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
Afternoon session     2:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Dinner Break            5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Evening Session*     7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
* Depending on your track, evening sessions may take place on select evenings without performances.

There will be evening performances of student showcases and faculty performances July 18-23.

There is a $250 application fee for the St. Louis Cabaret Conference. If you are accepted into The St. Louis Cabaret Conference the $250 application fee will be applied towards your total fee. If you are not accepted or decline, all but a $50 processing fee will be refunded to you. No application will be considered without paying this fee.

Payments & Refund Policy

Upon acceptance you will receive an invoice stating payment schedule and dates due.

  1. Payment #1:  50% of your remaining fee (Track Fee, minus application fee) is due within 2 weeks of your acceptance.  Please note your spot is not guaranteed until this 50% fee is paid. This 50% payment is non-refundable.  No exceptions.
  2. Payment #2:  All remaining balances are due June 1, 2018 after which there are no refunds. No exceptions.
  3. Housing payment is due June 1, 2018. Housing can be refunded if you cancel your spot.

Housing is available at an additional cost and located on the campus of Saint Louis University, an urban campus in midtown St. Louis. Housing is provided in student apartments that consist of 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. 4 singers share each apartment. Each singer has his/her own bedroom and 2 singers share a bathroom. There is a small kitchen that is equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and utensils. Kitchen and living area are shared by all occupants.

The apartments are within a one-minute walk to Xavier Hall where all of the master class sessions take place. Stairs are part of the access to some of the apartments. If you have a special need that affects your mobility, please contact Tim Schall at in order to reserve a first floor unit.

Cost for housing is as follows:

Intro Track - $400 for 5 nights
Next Step Track - $565 for 8 nights
Professional Track - $675 for 10 nights


There are several options for meals.

The Saint Louis University Cafeteria is conveniently located near your housing and classroom spaces. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served daily for $6 per meal.  

If you would prefer to eat on your own, there are several restaurants on campus and others that are nearby or require a short drive or approximately 10-minute walk. They range from fast food to higher end dining.

If you wish to do your own cooking in your apartment’s kitchen there is a Whole Foods and a local grocery chain within approximately a 10-minute drive from Saint Louis University.

Participants without a car have found that Uber or Lyft is a great and affordable option for short trips to local stores and restaurants.
